Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know.

Private cooking classes are flexible by design. If you don’t see your question here, send me a note and we’ll figure it out.

Do I need cooking experience?

Not at all. Classes are designed to be approachable for beginners while still being useful for experienced home cooks.

Where are classes held?

Classes can be held in your kitchen or mine, depending on the menu, group size, and what works best for the experience.

How long does a class usually last?

Most classes run between 2 and 3 hours, depending on the menu and pace.

How many people can join?

Classes work well for couples, small groups, families, birthdays, and private gatherings. If you have something larger in mind, just ask.

What kinds of classes do you offer?

Popular classes include:

  • Fresh pasta workshops
  • Chicago-style thin crust pizza
  • Roman pasta classics
  • Tacos and salsas
  • Tapas nights
  • Dessert classes

Can you customize the menu?

Absolutely. If there’s a dish, technique, or style of cooking you want to learn, we can build a class around it.

Do you provide ingredients?

Yes. Ingredients are typically included unless we decide otherwise for a custom event.

Do we eat the food after?

Yes — that’s part of the experience. Most classes end by sitting down and enjoying the meal together.

Do you travel?

Yes. I offer in-home cooking classes throughout Naperville, Plainfield, Aurora, Joliet, Oswego, Yorkville, Geneva, St. Charles, and surrounding Chicagoland suburbs.

If you cook in my kitchen, what equipment do I need?

Together we will decide on a meal that is best suited to your kitchen's equipment. And, I can always bring anything we will need to create the perfect meal.

How much does it cost?

Pricing starts at $30 per person but depends on the menu, ingredients, group size, and location. Reach out with a few details and I’ll help build the right experience.
